Powered by COMAP content, Mathmodels.org goes beyond our contests to make applied mathematics and modeling a year-round activity with problems, student solutions and commentaries. Teachers and students use the materials found on this site to enrich their classes and prepare for mathematical modeling competitions.

COMAP invites educators, undergraduate and graduate students to help refresh and modernize our rich library of mathematical modeling resources. Mathematics education is evolving, and what was relevant a decade ago may no longer engage today’s diverse students. The Refresh for Relevance Challenge is an opportunity to revamp classic COMAP materials to align with contemporary classrooms, new technology, and current best practices.

Contest registration is NOW OPEN for the modeling contests: High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM)®, Middle Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MidMCM), The Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM)® and The Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM)®.

Written specifically for high school courses, Discrete Mathematics: Modeling Our World is a new fifth edition of the formerly titled Discrete Mathematics Through Applications. It is designed to help you implement mathematical modeling in your classroom, in a way that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and fully engaged student participation.
