After a very productive period, COMAP and CEO Catherine Roberts have mutually agreed to part ways. Both appreciate what they have learned and accomplished together and are excited about their respective futures. Both parties remain committed to improving mathematical modeling education.
COMAP’s Board of Trustees has begun a search for our next executive director. COMAP’s Director of Education, Paul Kehle, will serve as Interim Executive Director until a new director can begin.

HiMCM Problem: Storing the Sun This module is based on a problem from the 2021 High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM). The problem involves finding a configuration for an energy storage system to support solar panels that power an off-grid house. Mathematical tools include proportional reasoning and unit analysis.
